In less than 500m distance there is the archaeological area of Cuma, where in the years 1958-62, the rests of a Hellenistic-Roman monument (264 B.C.) were found, with exceptional historical and artistic relevance.

Situated on the hilltop, distant 1,5 km, there is the old town centre of Monte Rinaldo, a little village of medieval origins with only 400 inhabitants.
This boundary area was object of contention of the Ducato di Fermo, the town of Ascoli Piceno and the Farfa monks. The historical centre expanded, in the XIII century to join a small French-longobard settlement.

MORESCO
It is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a diamond set in the hills of Le Marche. Completely surrounded by walls, has a triangular shape with an imposing tower at the top heptagonal.

 
FALERONE, Parco Archeologico Falerio Picenus.
The archaeological park is to be found mostly in the urban area of the old town of Falerio Picenus, spreading also to the adjacent areas of the cemeteries & the suburbs.
It is one of best preserved Roman theatres in Le Marche & is now used as a summer venue for events and festivals.

 
The national park of the Sibillini mountains is distant only 24km from Villa Elisabeth.
These mountains are reminiscent of mysteries from distant times.
Because of their exceptional flora and fauna, they are of great naturalistic interest and are an invitation to walking tours, by horse or by mountain bike .

Beneath Monte Vettore, which is the highest top of the mountain group with its 2476m, you can admire the lake of Pilate, the only glacial lake existent on the Apennines and theatre of a singular fable.

 
LORETO City formed around the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Nazareth Capital of the Marian cult, the town is world famous because inside the basilica is the Sanctuary of the Holy House where the Virgin Mary received the Annunciation.
The story begins in the 13th Century with the arrival of the house of Nazareth, which according to tradition was relocated by angels on 10 Decaembre 1294.
Recent studies of the stones and graffiti confirm the authenticity of the Holy House.
The Sanctuary has been for centuries and still is today one of the most important places of pilgrimage in the world, it has been visited by about 200 saints and blessed and by numerous Popes. Every September; meeting of the youth of all Nations.

 
In about 30 min. you can reach Fermo, art town; the seaside resorts Porto S. Giorgio, Cupra Marittima, famous for its mussel museum and Ascoli Piceno, one of the most beautiful and interesting cities of Italy, for its extraordinary buildings.
In the town centre there are different architectonic styles: medieval and renaissance constructions lie beside roman ruins.

 
The Grotte di Frasassi at Genga in the province of Ancona is part of a great underground complex that extends for about 18 kms.
It was discovered in 1971 and has become one of the most important attractions in the Marche, already visited by 10 million people from all over the world.
The route is exalting and the illuminations accentuate the forms and colours of the concretions: inlaid stalactites, gigantic stalagmites, little lakes closed in by arabesque crystals, alabaster lances which hang down from the majestic vaults, an underground tour which has been defined as one of the most beautiful in the world.

 
The Sferisterio in Macerata represents one of the most significant architectural works of the late European Neoclassic designed by architect Ireneo Oleandri from San Severino Marche (1823).
The particular form was studied to adapt gymnastic activities.
At the beginning of the 1900’s it was restored to transform into an opera house.
In 1921 Guiseppe Verdi’s Aida was the first opera to be performed there.
The inside is impressive, an immense arena, a capacity of 4500 people and the harmonious structure guarantees perfect visibilty and unbeatable acoustics.
Since 1967 the arena has offered opera seasons with spectacles of great quality and with impressive artists such as Placido Domingo, Montserrat Caballè, Rayna Kabaivanska, Ken Russel and Josef Svoboda not to mention the unforgettable Luciano Pavarotti and Rudolf Nureyev.

 
In the same distance (24km) there is the Adriatic sea and if you drive a few kilometers more, you’ll find the famous “Riviera delle Palme”, the coast between Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto, which represents, with its rich Mediterranean vegetation, unique spectacle.
